Entech Success
The organisers of the recent Entech show in Sydney report an excellent response from exhibitors. Says ULA's Con Biviano: "We expected a great response - it's been two years since the last Entech, and there is so much new technology and product to show - but this was fantastic. It's was fantastic not only for ULA, but also for the industry to get hands-on with the products. Many people, especially end-users, don't normally have that opportunity to see it all in one place."
Exhibitors were kept busy throughout the show as professional industry types bombarded them with questions and interest in all the new products unveiled during the show. Alan Graham of LSC Lighting said: "Quite simply, we were not prepared for the response we received at Entech. Quantity and quality of attendees on our stand was excellent and I could have done with one or two more staff to attend to everyone waiting to speak to us. We actually wrote up some very good orders at the show, which is very unusual for us."
Vistors took a great interest in the new style seminar programme with the field trip to Hill Song Church filling up and the pre-show course selling out. "We had a sell-out OH&S course on Sunday," seminar manager Julius Grafton reported, "with 120 people in the Seminar room. We expected around 70, then had 90 bookings, and were caught hopping with 30 walk-ups buying tickets at the door.”
Event manager Louise Brooks said: “I was overwhelmed with the response to this year’s Entech. Key international VIP’s travelled from 20 countries to see what new developments we had on offer. We also received an increase in the number of VIP’s and top buyers present at this year’s show. With well over 50% of visitors being interested in pro audio, lighting and vision it was good to see all three key sectors are receiving a high level of interest. There was also an increased interest in the staging products on display and 25% of visitors indicated automation and control as being one of their key reasons for visiting the show.”
Being the first Entech for new owners ETF, Entech is set to continue developing and evolving as they take it to the next level.
