Fentura Takes Vector

As part of their continued investment program, London-based event lighting specialists Fentura have purchased a Compulite Vector Blue control system from Stagetec Distribution.

The console was delivered on time direct to production rehearsals for the L'Oreal Colour Trophy Tour. It enjoyed a three-week jaunt around the UK and Ireland working for the production arm of CS Media. The show’s LD and operator Tim Matthews commented: "The Vector performed well. Its operation is very user-friendly - not only keeping the Compulite familiarity, but equally familiar to operators of other consoles due to its unique behavioural setup capability." Fentura see this as important because most of their shows in the past have been run on Compulite Sparks and SparkTOPs, so moving to a larger console has been simplified by keeping the syntax, just making it more intuitive with an excellent graphical user interface.

Matthews continued: “The decision to go with the Vector was well researched with other leading manufacturers consoles at varying states of usability. We saw the Vector as the way forward as it offered the optimum in performance, reliability and future proofing which, coupled with Stagetec Distributions excellent after sales support and service, left us in no doubt.

“As the first UK rental house to hold one in stock we were sure the development team would be responsive to our needs, with software updated and more features being added very regularly. We weren’t disappointed, as not only were there significant improvements to existing features within a very short time frame, but new functions are also added regularly and the development team always reacted well to any comments or suggestions we made.”
