LightProcessor at AC North
LightProcessor will be exhibiting at the AC Lighting North Trade Show in Leeds on 11th and 12th May, displaying a wide range lighting control products. These will include the Paradim and Dimension dimmer ranges and Zip desks.
Following the success of the popular 36 channel Paradim Touring System, LightProcessor now also offers both 18 and 24 channel options, complete with all the same features and cost-effective pricing.
The Paradim PatchPack is a perfect solution for both touring and rental applications. PatchPack allows user-configurable multi-channel dimmer racks top be built from 6 x 10Amp or 6 x 16Amp Paradim PatchPack modules. Patch to 19-pin Socapex outputs can be constructed from either the 6 dimming outputs or the non-dimmed mains power - ideal for intelligent lighting.
The latest version of the Paradim Wall pack will be at the show, featuring scene facilities, new improved menu structure and a new backlit LCD display. Paradim is a low-cost, 6-scene, 6 channel dimmer, available in 6 x 10A, 6 x 16A or 6 x 20A formats. It can be hard wired or rack mounted, single or three phase and encompasses fire alarm settings and onboard scene memory. Scenes stored in the dimmer can be recalled by any of the LightProcessor series of Scene Recall Button Stations, either with LED indicators, faders or simple buttons.
The Paradim is the most cost-effective dimmer for bars, restaurants, small venues, hotel receptions and home entertainment applications. As an optional extra, LightProcessor offers a fluorescent interface for use with dimmable fluorescent fixtures –as many channels as required. Each scene in the Paradim dimmer can have its own independent channel levels. If more channels are needed, Paradims can be used in multiples, or specifiers can move up to the Dimension Memory range.
The new Dimension 610 is available in either a 6 x 10A fused wall mounting format in both dimming & switching versions or as a 6 x 10A fused portable D610 (6 x10A) for truss mounting. Also new at the show will be a working model of the Dimension series dimmers fitted with Scene Boards for architectural applications.
The Dimension Memory range consists of 12 or 18 channel units of 10 Amps-per-channel, which can be wired as 3 phase or single. The 1210 and 1810 units can be split between different zones - one zone of 18 scenes, two of 12 and six or three of 6. Channels are allocated to zones via central programming from any DMX desk, and they don’t have to be divided in a any pre-determined way. You can run zone one with 3 channels, zone two with 4 and zone three with whatever is left – or vice versa - of the 18 channels.
All the LightProcessor ranges allow the dimming or switching of any circuit, which is a neat solution for taking care of switched fluorescents, cleaners lights, etc. with the same dimmer unit.
Zip is a new range of feature-packed, highly affordable small lighting desks The Zip 6 has 6 faders and outputs 24 channels of DMX; the Zip 12 and Zip 18 models have 12 and 18 faders respectively and output 36 channels of DMX. Each desk can 'grab' and store scenes consisting of all the output channels, and these are replayed using the faders in 'sub-master' mode, so 6, 12 and 18 models have 6, 12 and 18 sub-master memory locations. Chases and sequences of scenes are easily programmed using the cool blue backlit LCD display and intuitive menu options.
All models offer Preset/Chase Master, Grab Master, Desk Black-out and channel flash controls and variable fades from 0 to 25 seconds can be used across all functions. The desk can replay a 'stack' of scenes in true theatre style, with either automatic or manual fade. DMX output is via a standard 5 pin XLR, and all models simultaneously output 0-10V DC analogue through standard 8 pin DIN connectors.
