MAXXYZ Goes Corporate with Stage Electric
David Stewart, Stage Electrics lighting designer/operator, specified a Martin Professional Maxxyz lighting console, two of which are now part of the Stage Electrics hire inventory. “We wanted to take the opportunity to test the latest console technology using MAC 500’s, MAC 600’s and an assortment of in-house generic lighting,” he said.
David only had two days training with Simon Allan, Martin Professional product manager, but felt confident as the logic is very familiar and easy to use. David comments: “I really like the fixture selection including Palettes (Preset Focus) and the very user-friendly pop up windows for controlling a fixture’s CMY colour spectrum or gobo layouts. Being able to link up to Martin Show Designer and rough in some pre-programming in advance saved a lot of time on site, and I was impressed with how simple it was to use the effects engine. I have already specified this console for future events.”
