Rose Bruford College Invites Entertainment Professionals
Entertainment professionals are invited to two days of workshops and discussions organised as part of Rose Bruford College's symposium on Multiculturalism. The events are designed to explore the impact of new technologies that are bringing together scenic, lighting and video design in novel ways.
On Wednesday 5th May from 12 noon to 6pm there will be hands-on demonstrations of new technologies, including High End's Catalyst media server, that allows digital video to be controlled in real time by a lighting control desk, and PixelMAD, which allows conventional lighting fixtures to be controlled by a video image.
On Friday 7th May from 2pm to 5pm a discussion on the future of digital scenography will take place with a panel of scenic and lighting designers, technologists, and academics, followed by a performance developed by Rose Bruford students entitled ‘Her Superior Exterior - an experiment in scenography and performance’, which explores the uses of the new technologies.

Rose Bruford College's Sidcup campus is 30 minutes by train from central London (direct from Charing Cross, Waterloo East, London Bridge and Lewisham (DLR) stations). The campus is 5-10 minutes walk from the station, and 10 minutes from the M25.
