Successful Frankfurt Launch for Ethos
The recent Frankfurt Pro Light and Sound show was the venue for the launch of Logic System’s Ethos range of live sound products. Based upon the Ethos VA vertical array enclosure and including bass and monitor options, Ethos provides solutions for both front of house and stage sound. Logic sees Ethos as the final part of the jigsaw in their product range, which enables them to compete at all levels in the pro audio marketplace. As a consequence, they say all at the company are delighted with the response that the products received.
Commented technical director, Chris Scott: “There was always a danger that we would take Ethos to Frankfurt and it would sit on the stand as one of a thousand arrays gathering dust. Fortunately we chose to ground stack three VA boxes (the minimum array) with a B2 bin and SB sub. In effect, it was a usable system that people could relate to - the functionality was clear. A drop of 20 boxes looks impressive, but to the vast majority of hire companies that never fly, it’s not relevant. The most over used phrase on the stand was, ‘two men, one Sprinter van, 20K PA.’ It seemed to be understood in any language!”
The net result of the show was confirmed or serious enquiries for over 200 VA boxes plus the associated bins and LM monitors. Hong Kong dealer Tsang Fook purchased the first Ethos system, which will be shipped in time to be exhibited at the CALM show in Beijing at the end of May.
