Gobos for Beautiful And Damned From DHA Lighting
With its 30-year history in supplying gobos for the entertainment industry, its comprehensive gobo library and its extensive range of gobo services, DHA Lighting continues to be the gobo supplier of choice for lighting designers working in theatre and beyond.
Most recently, the new musical Beautiful and Damned has called upon DHA's services. The show, now running at the Lyric Theatre in London, is set in the glittering 1920s and tells the story of F. Scott Fitzgerald and Zelda Sayne. To create the sparkle the show required, lighting designer Nick Richings has included moving spotlights from Martin Professional, including MAC500s and MAC2000s, in his rig. Into these lights he has fitted a huge array of gobos from DHA. "We created both custom black-and-white and colour gobos," Richings explains, "to match the back projection used in the show. Designer Christopher Woods supplied us with the original artwork, which we adapted to make work in gobo form."
DHA Lighting can meet practically any gobo needs, whether a production requires a single metal gobo from DHA's enormous library of over 1100 designs, a custom metal gobo or spot- or full-colour glass gobos. Gobos are available in a range of sizes, allowing them to be used with just about any conventional or moving light on the market.
