Harman Pro Hits Pole Position with Hawk Kawasaki

Harman Pro UK’s professional and consumer divisions have collaborated to support Hawk Kawasaki in the prestigious 2004 British Superbike Championships.
Harman has installed a complete audio solution into the Hawk Kawasaki Superbike team’s bespoke hospitality marquee. Transported from circuit to circuit throughout the 13 round championship the mobile system comprises of four JBL EON G215 powered speakers, complete with lightweight stands, transport protection systems, a Soundcraft E8 mixing console, two AKG D660 microphones and two WS40 hand-held radio mics.
The equipment is utilised every race day to introduce Hawk Kawasaki’s 300 guests to team personnel as well as giving an update on current championship positions. Taking centre stage in regular interviews with star riders Glen Richards and Scott Smart the JBL system ensures each and every guest can hear the latest Hawk Kawasaki news. Additionally, combining the system with a Harman/Kardon CD player allows guests to enjoy background music throughout the day.
With Harman Pro taking care of the team’s audio requirements Harman Consumer is also getting in on the act, supplying a selection of audio equipment for competition prizes including a home cinema system, DVD players, Harman/Kardon amplifiers and the latest JBL PC audio accessories.
Hawk Kawasaki is delighted with the partnership, arranged between Harman Pro’s Andy Duffield, Harman Consumer’s Mark Hockey and the Hawk Kawasaki PR team of Nik Ellwood and Jim Moore of Race PR Ltd.

The Hospitality marquee is Hawk Kawasaki’s social hub for each meeting, and it’s vital to keep guests regularly updated with the latest trackside news and progress.”
For 2004, Hawk Kawasaki is racing a pair of ZX-10R Kawasaki’s, a specially developed and highly-tuned version of the production model, with slick racing tyres and a liquid cooled DOHC16v inline four engine, capable of up to 195 m.p.h. and worth in excess of £25,000 each.
