IBM Exhibit with 84” Plasma Screen

IBM Exhibit with 84” Plasma Screen

IBM showcased their latest developments in the IT sector with the help of an 84” plasma screen supplied by PlasmaScreen Co. on-stand at the Linux User and Development Expo 2004 held in Olympia 2 in April.

The IBM’s stand strategy, design and execution was managed by IBM’s worldwide event marketing agency The George P Johnson Company, who created a stand with the latest in AV technology to reflect IBM’s leading market position with their IT services. To achieve this they contacted PlasmaScreen Co and incorporated the world’s largest plasma screen into the structure of the stand.

PlasmaScreen Co liaised with George P Johnson’s project team and installed the screen on site at Olympia, along with a PA system and radio mics to create a small theatre area within the stand. IBM’s exhibition team then ran demonstration video’s and gave Powerpoint presentations, which reflected the branding used in IBM’s current marketing campaign, to the seated audience of invited guests.

David Foulger was George P Johnson’s senior event manager for the project. He commented: “The content shown on the screen was part of IBM’s integrated event strategy at the event in delivering key information to visitors. The quality of the screen coupled with the service and support given by PlasmaScreen Co meant that the IBM team were confident in concentrating on delivering their own message through the stand demonstrations. The screen enhanced the creativity and overall impact of our design.”
