Judges for 2004 Theatre Book Prize Announced
The judges for the Theatre Book Prize for the current year will be Oliver Ford Davies, Charles Spencer and Professor Elizabeth Schafer.
Actor Oliver Ford Davies was short-listed in 2003 for his book ‘Playing Lear’. Charles Spencer is the Drama Critic of The Daily Telegraph. Elizabeth Schafer is Professor of Drama and Theatre Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London, and is currently working on a new biography of Lillian Baylis.
The Theatre Book Prize is awarded annually by the Society for Theatre Research on the decision of an independent panel of judges. The prize for 2003 was awarded last month to Sir Richard Eure for his book National Service.
