Prague Invests in New Lighthouse Screen

Munich-based advertising specialist, CityChannel, has been involved in a number to stunning LED screen installations around Europe, the latest of which is a 100m2 advertising billboard sited on the main road into the centre of Prague.
The 32-panel Lighthouse Technologies LVP3165 LED screen shows a combination of advertising and city information and was used by the European Parliament on 1st May to celebrate the Czech Republic joining the European Union.
The LVP3165 30mm pixel pitch screen gives a maximum 6,500 nits of brightness, so it can easily cope with high ambient light levels from direct sunshine, as well as dull weather conditions and night time viewing. The screen gives a TV quality image from a distance of 30 metres and a viewing angle of 140/40 degrees, making it easily visible from street level when mounted on the side of a building. All this, combined with 13 bit processing for accurate colour rendition, an extremely important factor for advertisers, makes it the perfect solution for outdoor advertising billboards.
CityChannel supplies the 24-hour a day content for the screen from their technical base in Austria via the internet, using their own CityChannel Content Server Solution. “We can switch between a playlist and live feeds from anywhere,” explained CityChannel’s managing partner, Alexander Swatek. “We choose Lighthouse screens for our installations because, amongst other things, the comparison of price to performance is so good. We have a great relationship with Lighthouse, which we hope will carry on into the future.”
