Rabobank Installs Lighthouse Wall Street Solution
Rabobank, a leader in Dutch banking, has a long history of focusing on customer needs and it has recently seen the replacement of some of its traditional printed posters with a high-resolution LED screen to deliver its messages to customers in an attractive and eye-catching format at its Helmond branch.
The screen, a Lighthouse Technologies LVP1950S high resolution LED screen, has taken up position at Rabobank’s branch near Eindhoven in the south of Holland. It replaces printed posters, which were costing the bank some 35,000 euros annually.
Dutch systems integrator, Hecla Professional Audio and Video Systems, was the provider of what has become known as the “Wall Street” solution, supplying the 3.6 x 3.6metre ( 12.96sq m) Lighthouse screen for the bank’s external wall.
“This is a much more cost-effective and versatile solution than Rabobank’s traditional printed posters,” said Hecla sales manager, Jos den Hartog. “The ‘Wall Street’ solution shows a tickertape of banking information which includes share prices, as well as providing live links to the Dutch national weather station. It also incorporates a clock and every week the screen gets a different ‘look’.”
The LVP1950S Lighthouse screen comprises a 19mm pixel pitch, 5000 Nits brightness and employs Lighthouse Technologies’ unique M4 technology including 13 bit processing, uniformity control and full diagnostic feedback, which is the first of its kind in Europe.
“It is a digital signage board and when the server has empty slots, it can display advertisements, SMS messages and corporate communication content. There is also a non-commercial element for the screen content, and Rabobank works closely with its local community to incorporate helpful community messages,” said Jos den Hartog.
“Hecla is very excited about the project and sees it as the beginning of many such installations. Lighthouse’s LVP1950 is the perfect product for this kind of application where excellent definition and color rendition are required, together with superior brightness, ensuring that the screen can be seen in high levels of ambient light,” he added.
