Safe and Easy: Major Blinders Set Standards

Currently the Major S/E (Safe and Easy) blinders are claimed to be the electrically safest blinders on the market. They are equipped with an all-pole automatic shut-off which guarantees a safe and easy lampcheck and/or change, as the blinder is switched off after the lamp line has been opened. The complete product range includes 4-Lite and 8-Lite Par 36 blinders.

Both are divided into two segments that are swivel-mounted. The Par 36 blinders have been completed by the new 9-Lite and 8-Lite circle versions. In addition to this the complete product range includes the 8-Lite blinder 4 x 2. This blinder makes it possible to achieve the popular fan-shaped effect when using ACL lamps. It is also available including a yoke to mount it horizontally or vertically. Blinders can be used together with Par 36 ACL 28V, 250W lamps to achieve a beam characteristic or with DWE 120V, 650W lamps to produce a strong, flat illumination.

The Major blinders are not only characterized by their safety features. They also have an extremely robust housing. They are equipped with double-sided mounting yokes that provide for the best possible stability even when working with a high face load. Due to their unit construction colour changers can be installed on the blinder and they do not have to be removed to change a lamp, as this can be done from the rear panel of the blinder. It is also possible to open the lamp line from the back end. For touring purposes this provides enormous time saving.
