Stagecraft at New Theatre Royal

Wiltshire based Stagecraft has supplied a new illusion 500 lighting desk from Zero 88 as part of its ongoing work with the NEw Theatre Royal in Portsmouth.
Sales and project manager at Stagecraft, Martin Palmer, explained: "We have been working with the New Theatre Royal on the improvement and expansion of its staging and lighting capabilities since 2001, and the illusion desk plays a vital part in this ongoing project. The desk is a powerful lighting controller, which is flexible and easy to programme. With all the visiting companies that perform at the theatre, ease of use and clear control is of utmost importance.
With 500 channels as standard, the illusion uses a Cueline system, which gives graphical representation of the lighting cue list allowing easy operation and editing. Using simple programming technology, including moving light control software, the desk can be used to create movement, beam and colour effects.
