Louis Vuitton Parties with Sound Advice
Louis Vuitton’s 150th celebrations were held in conjunction with the ‘Louis Vuitton 14th Annual Classic’ car display, held at Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire. Following the Classic car event, with gates closed to the public and paparazzi, an array of VIPs and celebrity guests, including Anna Friel, Simon Cowell, Charlotte Church and Yasmin Le Bon, were invited to enjoy an evening’s entertainment in the grounds of the Manor.
French Event Management Company, ‘Jour J’, began producing the exclusive evening working with production technical manager, Rudi Termote. With many years’ experience in creating tailored entertainment for private and corporate events, Sound Advice was brought in to manage the entertainment for the event. Sound Advice’s Hugh Phillimore sought out Lionel Ritchie, identifying him as an international performer who would be appreciated by the wide variety of guests and celebrities.
Sound Advice’s production and event management experience, working on high profile corporate events with the likes of Lionel Ritchie, led to their being asked to assist with the technical production. To make sure Lionel and the other entertainers sounded at their best, sound company Villa Audio was brought in. Sound Advice’s James Cobb also contracted lighting specialists LXCO to light the stage, marquee interior, and the stunning grounds of Waddesdon Manor visible through magnificent clear-sided structure housing the party.
A hit-filled, energetic 75-minute performance by Lionel Ritchie was rapturously received, spilling into three encores to a full dance floor as the high profile guests enjoyed the highest standards of hospitality through to the early hours of the morning.
Hugh Phillimore commented: “Lionel Ritchie is a fantastic performer and a true gentleman of the music industry. This calibre of event needed a certain quality of entertainment that suited the audience, and Lionel was the perfect choice.”
