New Formula Sound Service Leads Way Through Noise Control Minefield

With increasingly strict noise control regulations set to continue changing the face of the UK's entertainment industry, leading audio equipment manufacturer Formula Sound has launched a new specialist noise control consultancy service. Combining many years of experience in this area with its range of tried and tested products, Formula Sound is ideally placed to help many of those parties involved, ranging from the venue owners and installation contractors through to the Environmental Health Officers who enforce the regulations.
Whilst telephone advice is available free of charge, Formula Sound can also provide site visits and consultancy services to help develop individual solutions to specific problems.
Explaining the reasons behind the launch of the service, Formula Sound managing director Tony Cockell comments: "Changes to rules and regulations are forcing everyone involved to look more closely at the problem of unwanted noise escaping from buildings. We know from the enquiries we receive that there is a lot of confusion surrounding the subject, and so we've created the new service to provide a central point to which people can turn for help."
The service is designed to give a clear general understanding of the basic issues involved in noise control, and suggest ways in which individuals can tackle the problems they face. "We've always handled calls from venue owners and installation contractors who need to provide effective noise control solutions," adds Tony Cockell. "But in recent times the volume of calls has increased, and we're also getting new enquiries from Environmental Health Officers who want to become more familiar with the noise control issue, and also from ordinary electrical contractors who are being asked to install noise control equipment which they're unfamiliar with."
Formula Sound offers a range of noise control products, including the Sentry Mk2, the AT – 1, the AVC 2 and Guardian Mk2. They can be used in different combinations to provide proven and effective solutions which alleviate the problem of noise pollution without risking the music being cut off and the entertainment interrupted, and without compromising the quality of any music being played or the performances of the musicians or DJs involved.
