‘Smash Hit’ Sunbaba Brands Rockingham

Sunbaba Screens provided the branded screening featured at the first Rockingham’s Days of Thunder event held this May. The event is the first this year and they will be running on the first Sunday of each month through to October with a variety of today’s favourite stars performing across the events. On Sunday 2nd May, the crowds gathered for a day filled with car racing using cars similar to those in the film ‘Days of Thunder’, and enjoyed a 60-minute special performance by Blue on the Smash Hits Rockingham stage.

Sunbaba produced two 11 x 4.8m scrims for the event featuring the colourful ‘Smash Hits Rockingham’ logo, and covered the speakers on either side of the stage. They decorated the stage and were vital to the Smash Hits brand image at the event.

The scrims were made from DigiMesh, a screening material Sunbaba use that allows artwork to be digitally printed onto the screen and therefore allows the client to incorporate any brand image, whilst not affecting the sound transmission from the speakers behind it.

Sunbaba’s Jan Booth liaised with Rockingham’s marketing manager, Tanya Baker, who ordered the branded material and Smash Hits provided the necessary artwork for the banners. Jan commented: “It was great to be involved with Rockingham. The DigiMesh banners allow dynamic branding to feature where would normally only be speakers and other equipment, they are a highly effective way to brand events.”
