Stage Electrics JoinProjected Image Digital with PixelMad

Stage Electrics and Projected Image Digital are producing a demo of the new PixelMad software that can control lighting using video and still images, as used on the recent Radiohead tour.

PixelMad software is similar to Catalyst but outputs DMX instead of a video signal. It uses an Artistic Licence Ether-Lynx Interface that links the DMX lighting controller to trigger the Apple Mac that stores video clips and images. With up to four layers, two outputs, video signal input, i.e. cameras and DV playback; 200 DMX fixtures, and eight Universes, the control system produces amazing lighting sequences.

The demo will feature a rig comprising of 20 Thomas PixelLine 1044 LED battens, 16 Ayrton Eyecolor LED moving-heads and Parcans. Rob Fowler of Projected Image Digital will be on hand to answer any questions.

The demonstrations takes place at Stage Electrics’former unit at Unit 9, Victoria Road, Avonmouth, Bristol BS11 9DB on

Wednesday 2nd June and Thursday 3rd June 2004 from 10am – 7pm.
