A. C. Lighting Supply Truss Archway for Green Fields Entrance at Glastonbury

A. C. Lighting supplied Greenpeace with a Litec QX30 Truss Structure to form an archway at the entrance to the Green Fields area at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
The 10 metre wide archway was constructed from four QX 30 curved truss sections with two 1.5 metre straight sections to give additional height. The arch was crowned with two 2-metre diameter truss circles to accommodate the entrance logo while four outriggers were specially made to give the structure additional stability.
The Arch design was penned by Litec following a brief outline from Greenpeace and Green Fields, whose key concern was that the structure needed to be fully self-supporting and that two 40ft articulated lorries should be able to pass through it safely with plenty of space to spare.
Litec QX30 was chosen for its modular design, strength, flexible construction possibilities and manufacturing from Aluminium, a natural resource, whilst meeting the budget requirements of the project.
A C Lighting is the exclusive UK distributor for Litec truss.
