Beverly Inglesby to take the Helm of Protocol
ESTA (the Entertainment Services & Technology Association) has announced that Beverly Inglesby, a former ESTA board member, has accepted the position of editor of ESTA’s journal Protocol effective this fall. Her first issue will be the Winter 2005 edition.
Beverly brings a diverse background, industry knowledge, and unparalleled enthusiasm to the position. She served as dealer vice president on the ESTA Board from 1998 to 2002 when she was employed as general manager of Hollywood Lights in Portland, Oregon. Beverly’s prior experience includes serving as president then executive director for the Portland Advertising Federation, and as manager of the Portland Office of Northwest Television Sales, a division of King Broadcasting. She holds a degree in journalism from the University of Oregon and has served on the University’s Alumni Association Board of Directors.
Upon accepting the position, Beverly stated: “This is a terrific opportunity. The dedication and commitment of the volunteers who work tirelessly on improving the technical standards, educational information and safety of the industry is inspiring. I am excited to work with the ESTA team to take Protocol to the next level.”
ESTA president Mike Wood welcomed Beverly back to an active role in the Association, “ESTA is delighted that Beverly is able to take this position. Her familiarity with ESTA and its members will allow her to hit the ground running and help lead Protocol forward as ESTA’s programs continue to have an impact on the industry.”
Mike also expressed ESTA’s sincere thanks and best wishes to Lynn Kennedy who will conclude nine years of work on Protocol with the Fall 2004 issue. “Lynn is responsible for the birth and development of Protocol into a widely respected industry journal. We thank Lynn for her devoted service to the Association which has resulted in a top quality publication that has served the members of ESTA and the industry well.”
