Kelsey Set Out their Furman Mission
Kelsey Acoustics Ltd have begun actively marketing the new Furman Series II SMP power conditioners in the UK, following their appointment as UK distributors earlier this summer.
Kelsey marketing director, Michael Whiteside, says the company will place particular emphasis on the upgraded Series II products, notably the PL-8E, which offers great value for money, with LED lamps now replacing the old filament bulbs.
The product features Furman’s revolutionary Series Mode Protection (SMP) and exclusive Linear Filter Technology (LiFT) technology, providing highly-advanced and comprehensive transient voltage surge suppression. “This is a real wedge of sophisticated surge and noise protection,” proclaims Whiteside. “It uses a non-sacrificable part which stores the energy and dissipates it as heat.” Also notable is the fact that the PL-PRO Series ll is rated at 16 Amps and now features Powercon outlets.
Kelsey will also give high priority to the AR2306AC Line Voltage Regulator, handling loads up to 6 Amps in just 1U of rack space. Says Michael Whiteside, “This is a must for racks of computer and non-linear gear in situations where the supply is notoriously variable — for instance where generator power is usedand in sensitive IT or AV systems, such as AVID and Pro Tools suites.” Alongside this will be Furman’s 15-Amp (AR-2315) and 30-amp (AR2330) versions.
Finally, Kelsey will also be marketing the PS-PRO ‘E’ Series ll top-of-the-line power conditioners, featuring sequentially-switched Powercon outlets and all the other characteristics of Series II (such as LED status indicators). The PS-PRO ‘E’ will offer multiple levels of protection, critical function monitoring and extreme voltage shutdown to guard against destructive wiring faults across even the largest power amplifiers.
Kelsey's sales manager Tony Torlini underlines Kelsey’s confidence in the superiority of the Furman range. “The company not only has a strong product range but is willing to listen to market advice and ideas from our parent company, Fuzion; this will enable us to work closely as a team on future product and project developments.”
