‘Nokia Rocks’ Isle of Wight Festival with Sunbaba Screens

Sunbaba Screens created a range of branded screening across the sell out Isle of Wight Festival site. This year, 35,000 music lovers enjoyed bands and artists including the Stereophonics, The Who and David Bowie across the three-day event, and basked in the sunshine the weekend offered.

Sunbaba Screens was contracted by production company, Hot Hammer to create a range of branded screens. Headline sponsors Nokia used Sunbaba screening on Heras fencing around the site to reinforce their support of the festival. In all, 67 panels were covered with giant ‘Nokia Rocks’ branded screening, around the backstage and various perimeter positions. These were produced using Digimesh, a screening material that allows images and logos to be digitally printed onto the fabric with great accuracy and precision, resulting in highly effective branding.

Sunbaba also used Digimesh for banners used at the festival’s entrance, producing four 10m head banners printed with the ‘Isle of Wight festival’ logo. Sunbaba also created eight end screens for the entrance gantries, and four plain screens for the PA towers on site, used to ensure an aesthetically pleasing stage.

Sunbaba was also contracted by Capitalize, to produce two 25m and one 3m Barcardi banners for the Barcardi Bat Bar, featuring the drink’s logo on the Digimesh material. These uses of the Sunbaba screens portray the use of them at their best, being the choice of some of the high profile brands at the event.

Jo Little of Capitalize commented: “The speed that Sunbaba turned around our screens without compromising on quality or service was outstanding.”
