Pearce Party Power for Louis Vuitton

Pearce Hire supplied power distribution and lighting equipment for the 150th Louis Vuitton celebration party this June.

The exclusive party took place at the National Trust site, Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire, after the ‘14th Louis Vuitton Classic’ car show. During the day the range of vintage cars were on display to the public, and once the gates had closed, an invited A-list of celebrities and VIP guests gathered to enjoy the car collection, and an elaborate party in a marquee.

A clear-walled marquee located in the beautiful grounds of the Manor housed the party guests for their meal and entertainment, which included Lionel Ritchie. Pearce Hire was contracted to provide the power distribution across the site and outdoor lighting to accentuate the splendour of the manor gardens. The Pearce Hire team, which comprised five technicians, arrived on site four days prior to the event to set up on the highly prized grounds, which led to the equipment load-in being carried out on foot, due to a no car policy on the grass, adding to the challenging logistics of the set up.

Pearce Hire installed a 200kVA twin pack to distribute the power to the party marquee, including the stage lighting, PA system and the catering area, whilst an assortment of generators supplied lighting along with self-powered lights for the outdoor areas. They also provided all of the outdoor site lighting equipment, with the company’s LD John Huson designing the outdoor lighting with guidance from Sound Advice director James Cobb. The outdoor lighting added to the ambience throughout the events duration, giving guests a ‘classic English country’ scene as the guests dined in the clear-sided marquee. An ornamental garden and wooded area in the manor grounds incorporated different coloured lighting to illuminate the trees from below, creating the ideal setting.

The display of cars were also lit once the sun had set, using swan neck lighting that allowed the antique cars to be viewed at any time across the evening.

The high profile quality of the event meant that presentation was of great importance. With vast experience in the corporate world, Pearce Hire ensured the equipment was out of sight.
