RW Salt Tee Off with Golf Day & Dinner

RW Salt hosted their 12th annual Golf Day and Gala Dinner at the Shaw Hill Golf & Country Club, in Chorley, Lancashire on 1st July. Over 80 industry luminaries teed off in search of valuable silver and glass-ware, which was on offer to winners, the gala dinner event in the evening being attended by 140 people.
The ‘Bob and Kath Salt Charity Golf Day’ (which is named after Salt’s founder) has became one of the social events of the year. Salt’s, one of the UK’s leading audio visual distributors, look upon the event as a way of thanking their suppliers whilst raising a great deal of money for a worthy cause, the charity RAFT. This year’s winner was Simon Jones of Sennheiser, hotly pursued by Steve Collin of Armstrong in second place. Harman Pro’s Max Lindsey Johnson came last in the worst ever recorded Stableford score of just three points.
Craig Buckley commented: “ I saw Max struggling around the course and to be honest it is pretty clear the lad couldn’t hit a cows arse with a banjo. However, he did excel at the 10th tee bar area and as such next year I am considering introducing a trophy just for him and his outstanding effort in making sure that we suffered minimal wastage!”
Speaking at the dinner, RW Salt managing director Craig Buckley said: “This whole event is made possible by the generosity of those companies who sponsor our event and those individuals who attend, giving up not only their time, but a vast amount of money to a charity that was very dear to Bob and Kath.”
The event raised £5,000 for the charity.
