Wandering Walpole Returns to Leisuretec

Jay Walpole (pictured) has returned to Leisuretec Distribution Ltd, strengthening the company’s sales development team. Walpole left Leisuretec in January 2003, to travel the world, and toured across America before landing in Australia. Realising the beach life was not for him, after spending a number of months in Melbourne and Sydney, he returned to the UK and joined the Professional Audio division at Arbiter.

Following Arbiter’s decision to close this division of their business, Walpole moved to a customer services role at Music Marketing Services in Chelsea, but due to the high standard of Music Marketing’s service to their customers, this role proved to be a somewhat unchallenging.

The decision to return to Leisuretec Distribution didn’t prove a difficult one to make. Walpole still had regular contact with a number of his former colleagues, and after contacting Suzannah Griffin, business development manager at Leisuretec, it appeared that a position within the sales development team was about to be available.

Jay Walpole commented: “I’m looking forward to establishing myself in this new role at Leisuretec, and re-establishing contact with the customers I left last year. In my absence it would appear that Leisuretec Distribution has continued its expansion into the marketplace, and as well as having a team of dedicated people to respond to customers' needs, they have added a team of people specifically to develop relationships with customers. As part of the team effort that exists here I am looking forward to adding my contribution.”
