Alcons at PLASA 2004
At the forthcoming PLASA show, Alcons will be present with a complete new product range and highlights of their current line-up.
Last year’s PLASA as prototype, this year the production model of the “much-rumored-about” LR16 pro-ribbon line-array module will be on the show. The recently launched LR16B, double-15” NeoDymium driver bandpass supplement, will join the LR16.
The LR14, Alcons’ ultra-compact line-array module, features the patented RBN401 pro-ribbon driver. Designed as either a ultra-compact line-array system, or as an under-fill of the LR16, the LR14 has a dispersion pattern of 120 x 15 degrees. The 800W peak power handling offers similar dynamic response as its “bigger brother” LR16.
A sneak-preview will be given on the new Q-series, a complete new product range of modular line-source array columns, featuring all-new pro-ribbon transducer technology. The series is being designed as solution to get ultimate intelligibility in acoustically challenging environments. The scalable ribbon-arrays combine a very high directivity with totally controlled dispersion.
The VR8 and VR12 systems will be demonstrated to people who really want to experience the ‘pro-ribbon’ sound for themselves!
A selection of other products will also be on show on stand C22 on the upper deck.
