Arena Leisure Race Past the Post with Barco LED Display Solutions
Barco is proud to announce that its renowned outdoor LED display solutions have been chosen by Arena Leisure to improve the race day experience for their customers at their racecourse locations throughout the UK. The chosen Barco display solutions combine a 40 square metre SLite 10 mobile outdoor LED screen together with a secondary 22sqm SLite 10 outdoor LED display.
Renowned for its longstanding leadership in the visualisation industry, Barco is proud to be chosen by Arena Leisure as the preferred solution provider to build displays for an enhanced customer experience at its racecourses. Arena Leisure Plc is the UK's largest independent racecourse owner in terms of fixtures, hosting over 2,000 races and approximately 23 per cent of all British horseracing fixtures.
Says Ted Taylor, Chief Operating Officer, Arena Leisure Plc, Racecourse Division: “The screens will mean that Folkestone, Lingfield Park and Royal Windsor Racecourses will have at least one big screen at every meeting throughout the year. These are state of the art products and mark the dawn of a new era in entertainment and information distribution at our racecourses. Customers will have a much improved race day experience, and be able to see the action no matter how far away it is and we can also considerably improve the promotional opportunities available to our race sponsors”.
Barco’s SLite 10 outdoor LED display has been installed at the Arena Leisure race course in Windsor. The display will provide fans with text message, statistics and live video footage, enhancing the spectators’ overall entertainment experience during races.
The 40 square meter SLite 10 display is a custom-built mobile LED solution installed on a trailer. The screen itself is mounted on a telescopic rotating pole that is able to rotate through 310°. This enables greater flexibility in the actual location of the truck, as the screen can be turned to face the audience it is addressing. It also gives Arena Leisure maximum flexibility for using the display at different race courses.
In offering an innovative and attention grabbing display solution to Arena Leisure, Barco further strengthens its foothold in the international sports market. With more than fifteen new projects at sporting venues across Europe, America and China over the past six months, Barco’s display solutions are fast becoming the industry standard throughout various high-profile sporting industries.
