Clancy Introduce SureLock
J.R. Clancy has introduced a unique rope-locking system designed to improve backstage safety by preventing "runaway" counterweight sets.
The SureLock rope lock is designed to prevent runaway counterweight sets by sensing unbalanced conditions and locking the system until balance is restored. An easy-to-read indicator tells whether weight must be added to or removed from the arbor. SureLock will not allow an operator to open the lock if it is more than 50 pounds out of balance.
The cost-effective SureLock unit can be installed during new construction or to upgrade existing rigging systems. As always, SureLock is only one component of a backstage safety program that must also include thorough user training and supervision.
