Legendary Mosfilm Studio Adds Jands Event Console
A Jands Event 416 lighting console has been supplied to legendary Russian film studio Mosfilm for one of its stages.
Mosfilm is Russia’s leading film studio and also one of the largest film-making facilities in Europe. For the past 70 years it has been responsible for the country’s most highly celebrated cinematic output and more recently, made its modern facilities available for rental by numerous production companies, Russian TV channels and other commercial projects. The site has 14 stages with a total area of aroundt 10,000 square metres.
Major equipment contractor Proline MF worked with Russian Jands dealer Sim-Imlight to specify the most suitable desk from the popular Event console range. The desk is one of several in the Event 4 range recently sold by Sim-Imlight.
The Jands Event 416 lighting control console combines the simplicity of operation of a two preset lighting console with a powerful palette based moving fixture controller, resulting in an easy to use console with a familiar operating surface. Added to this is a set of powerful playback and control options to create the ideal conventional/moving light control console.
The desk will be used to operate a rig consisting of 20-30 moving lights and 200 dimmers.
