AD Systems at PLASA
PS Audio Systems of Alicante in Spain have manufactured quality high-end pro audio systems for more than 30 years. In partnership with their new UK and Ireland distributor; Sabre International Ltd, they will present for the first time in the UK a complete inventory of their AD products at PLASA 04.
The CLA-2 compact system embodies advanced line array techniques to deliver superb concert quality sound at very high sound pressure levels. A lightweight (20kg), compact enclosure CLA-2 is fully loaded with Neodym drivers and incorporates flying hardware including quick release pins approved to BGV C1. Leading edge passive filter technology, combined with a specially developed phase corrector, ensures outstanding MF/HF performance. Without any form of control CLA-2 delivers SPL at 115db (1W/1M) between 500 Hz and 2.5 kHz.
At 16 ohm CLA-2 allows efficient use of amplifier assets, incorporates ADīs Safety Cabinet Design (SCD) and can be easily flown or stacked. Together with AD-24B and AD-B218 bass systems, CLA-2 can be used to build small arrays using only two enclosures. ADAS vertical array simulation software makes advance planning of each system setup easy.
There will also be the first showing in the UK of ADīs high performance Neocraft Series. Mounted in the same aluminium frame and loaded with Neodym components throughout Neocraft represent a significant reduction in weight. The system is ideal for rental companies looking to reduce their transportation costs without compromise on sound quality. For installations Neocraft is excellent when ceiling load limits are critical.
For long throw operation the C-30 (34kg) has a dispersion of 30š x 30š with –5š down the main axis. This configuration allows easy assembly of large arrays with improved area coverage. The C-30 operates at a frequency range of 140 Hz to 18 kHz and can deliver a SPL of 141dB. For short to medium throw operation the C-60 (32kg) can produce very high SPL (138dB) and a controlled dispersion of 60š x 40š from 140 Hz to 18 kHz. When used to form part of a larger array the controlled dispersion allows efficient coupling resulting in long throw directivity. For mid bass operation the B-30 (32kg) is a direct radiating bass enclosure equipped with a 15” long excursion bass loudspeaker and an active crossover point at 300 Hz. Neocraft can be stacked, or flown using ADīs NEOfly System. AD-B218 can be used for bass reinforcement and a full range of system patch panels is available.
Also on stand will be the AD-24 Series, a 2-way system comprising the AD-24T Mid/High cabinet and AD-24B Bass cabinet.

Designed to meet the current requirements of rental companies and trends defined by architects, interior designers and installation companies, AD Series is one of the most comprehensive collection of flexible loudspeaker products available today.
From a small stereo PA system for use by entertainers up to a full concert system for rental companies, ADīs SPM 2400 self powered amplifier module delivers superb quality sound at the required level when used with AD Series loudspeaker systems. The module is designed to fit into the rear of the AD-B115 and AD-24B bass systems, providing amplified power and electronic control for the connection of a further bass system and two Mid/High or full-range loudspeaker systems.
