Logic Systems Success with Ethos

Ethos made its UK debut at the recent PLASA Show and judging from the positive feedback and initial sales it proved to be a resounding success.

Pro Audio product distributors from around the world inundated Logic Systems staff with both enquiries and orders, to such an extent that a planned increase to production and a proposed move to larger manufacturing facilities has had to be brought forward to cope with demand.

Technical director Chris Scott said after the show: “We knew we had developed something special, but not to this extent. It’s as if the whole industry has been waiting for Ethos to arrive. Now it’s here the sky’s the limit! It will mean larger premises and more jobs - but more importantly being seen as one of the major pro audio companies. It is something we have been building towards for a long time that now seems to be becoming a reality.”

Prior to PLASA, extensive UK testing had been carried out at the Newmarket Racecourse festivals. The popular Friday night event, which hosts an early evening race card followed by a band. A diverse range of music has included Blondie, Blue, Jools Holland and The Sugababes, while acknowledged engineers such as Steve Levitt and Snake Newton have taken their turn at FOH. The Ethos system has received a universal thumbs up and delighted all at Merlin Productions, the hire company responsible for the shows and Ethos’s first UK customer. In addition, Maltese-based Studio 7 added Ethos to their stock, as a solution to their vibrant conference market and in doing so became the first export customer for Ethos.

The PLASA Show also saw confirmed orders from UK audio visual company Moonlite Productions in Aylesbury, following a successful demo at Nottingham Arena. Dutch based distributors Match Audio unfortunately missed their flight and were not at the stand to see an order placed for Ethos by one of their rental customers, Laguna. Norwegian dealer Produksjoner also confirmed that they would be adding Ethos to their demo and hire stock, seeing it as essential for servicing their future festival work.

Developing the export market has been a major priority for Logic System during 2004 and Ethos has made this a much more achievable objective. Expected major distribution announcements for Asia Pacific, Korea and Russia are expected soon.
