Robert Juliat at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games
Robert Juliat supplied 18 Cyrano 2500W HMI followspots to the 2004 Athens Olympic Games through its Greek distributor, Enttech. The event organiser, Jack Morton Public Events, chose Cyrano because it met several important criteria, say Juliat. The followspots had to cut through 1500 moving and conventional lights used at the opening and closing ceremonies, and the dimming effects had to be synchronised so the spot operators could focus on the athletes and performers. Robert Juliat was able to satisfy those requirements with Cyrano followspots equipped with DMX controlled shutters that were linked together and controlled from the lighting control console.
