Seminar Special: Gert Hof - the Art of Lighting Design
Gert Hof was born in 1951 and lives in Berlin. He worked as a theatre director in the DDR where his profession was banned and he was interned for one-and-a-half-years in Bautzen and threatened with expulsion. Today he is one of the most sought-after light and pyro designers in the world and numerous prizes and honours have been awarded to him.
Now, the Ralph Larmann Company has announced that it has managed, for the first time, to persuade Gert Hof to be involved in a special seminar. On 16th November 2004 he will present an exclusive one-day seminar (9.15 a.m until 5.30 p.m.) in the Rheinsaal Hyatt Regency Hotel in Cologne. Attendance will be limited to 40 participants. The seminar will offer the chance to discuss Hof’s work and, in addition, the well-known operator Jens Probst will also be a guest speaker alongside Gert Hof.
Gert Hof will talk about his work and life and explain the development of his projects in detail, granting participants a direct insight into his ideas and methods. Videos, pictures and graphics will provide the appropriate visual settings.
Cost per participant is 490.00 euros plus 16% VAT. There are special group rates and also discounts for trainees and students.
