SIEL 2005: Two Separate Shows but One Event

Last year, for the first time, SIEL – the Paris-based trade show for the world of live entertainment and events – was set up in Paris Expo’s brand new Hall 5 at Porte de Versailles. Thanks to the two-floor layout of the hall, it was able to separate the world of Live Entertainment and Events from the world of Nightlife and Music and yet retain the interactivity that links these two very complementary worlds.

Reported as “tremendously successful with the visitors” SIEL is continuing the division into sectors and promising a number of new features for the coming 23rd show which is due to be held from 6th – 9th February 2005.

The first outcome of dividing the show by sector is that this year SIEL Live Entertainment will have its own entrance. Inside, SIEL Live Entertainment will encompass Pro Audio, Lighting and Stage Equipment. The Pro Audio section will present all the products and solutions to do with sound systems, recording, and audio installation.

Over in the area devoted to Stage Equipment visitors will find everything related to design, creation, planning, installation and safety. For SIEL 2005, this section will inaugurate a special area–Espace Scénographie–devoted to stage design where the spotlight will be on exhibitors showing machinery, curtains, stages, seating, décors, and more.

SIEL Nightlife offers a comprehensive overview of this vast industry to meet the expectations of professionals eager for innovations and creativity. SIEL Nightlife presents sections devoted to Sound & Lighting and Music & DJing, and has created two new areas of interest: Furniture & Decoration and the Bar World.

Another new feature of this 23rd show, the Bar World will present all the solutions (snacks, beverages, bar equipment, bar staffing agencies, computerized beverage dispensers, ticketing systems) for bars, clubs, restaurants, hotels.

In 2004, SIEL drew close to 26,000 visitors, breaking attendance records, and attracted more than 300 exhibitors. With the ambition of dividing SIEL by sectors and all the expected new features, the organisers of SIEL 2005 expect even greater numbers in 2005.
