Skan Takes Velvet Revolver Around The UK
Leading UK rental company and L'Acoustics V-DOSC partner, Skan PA Hire, recently supplied reinforcement for American rock outfit Velvet Revolver.
The band reunites three former members of one of rock's greatest groups Guns N' Roses - guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum. The remainder of Velvet Revolver is made up of Scott Weiland, formerly of Stone Temple Pilots, and guitarist Dave Kushner.
The system was supplied for the UK stint of Velvet Revolver's world tour, with three promotional dates at Glasgow Academy and Manchester and Hammersmith Apollos.
Velvet Revolver carried their own control system and worked closely with Skan's Certified V-DOSC Engineer Ant Carr and system technician Peter Whitelaw to install the sound systems. Thirty dV-DOSC and six ARCS loudspeakers were supplied, with subwoofers in the form of twelve SB218s and eight dV-SUBs.
