Become a Pro with Stagecraft
Salisbury based Stagecraft has put together a new special effects package for hire and sales. The package, aimed at schools, theatres, production companies and lighting designers includes the Rosco Image Pro and Vortex 360. Stagecraft will also be one of the first companies to stock the new Rosco X-Effects 3-D Projector.
Paul Harte, hire manager at Stagecraft explained: “Special effects equipment has long been an expensive luxury for schools and production companies, and we have worked hard to put together a package which suits all budget sizes. Whether hiring or looking to buy, we now have special effects equipment which is versatile, easy to use, and most importantly produces spectacular results.”
The Rosco Image Pro is one of the most cost effective ways of projecting images onto stages, buildings and screens. Using acetate gobos and a simple system which fits onto the ETC S4 and strand SL range of lanterns, the Image Pro can be used to project scene backdrops, pictures or logos, and gobos can be custom designed and printed by Stagecraft.
The Vortex 360 projects rotating images, which can be used to create moving effects such as fire and water. The rotation speed of the gobos can be changed and also the direction, which adds to the versatility of the equipment.
Martin Palmer, sales and projects manager for Stagecraft commented: “The Rosco Image Pro and Vortex 360 are excellent pieces of equipment which can be used to create many different special effects. Working with Rosco we are now able to offer lighting designers a complete package of equipment that will provide flexibility, creativity and impact for all venue sizes and types of productions."
