Milan Acustica Singles out the Cadac S-Type
Cadac reports that Milan Acustica is the first Spanish PA company to purchase its S-Type Compact Live Production Console, selecting the S-Type on the basis of its superior sonic design and engineering. The contract for the two consoles was negotiated by Cadac's Spanish representative, Salvador Serra, of Imaginamusica. The S-Types are being configured to Milan Acustica's specific requirements, comprising two 33-way frames with 24 mono inputs, four stereo channels, four Group/VCA/Aux modules, and a Master module. This provides Milan Acustica with the option to operate the two S-Types individually or combine the frames into a single large console, underlining the inherent flexibility of the Cadac ‘plug anywhere’ module design.
Milan Acustica Director David Castello commented: “Our reputation is based on quality sound reinforcement, gained over some 27 years, and we always aim to stay one step ahead of our competitors to maintain market leadership. We were ready to update our analogue consoles, and wanted to purchase the very best that the market could offer. The Cadac name speaks volumes for itself, representing the highest quality in live sound. When we realised that we could achieve Cadac quality in a truly cost-effective package, as with the S-Type, we felt we had found the ideal choice.
“Milan Acustica will be the first to offer the S-Type in Spain, and we know that many engineers will welcome getting their hands on a Cadac as opposed to other name brands. The difference in terms of the clean sound and features sets it apart, as well as being straightforward to operate and easy to use. You don´t need to study the manual, the controls are logically laid out and everything is readily available. A visiting artist´s engineer will not have to ask where anything is, and it also has all the standard things required for most events - enough mono input channels, stereo input channels, 8 auxiliary sends, 8 sub groups, 8 VCAs, 4-band parametric EQ, and mute groups. Put all this into small frames, and there is no having to reach over the console to read what that button is! We chose Cadac after careful consideration, and believe it gives us the best of everything – superior sonic design and engineering, the highest live sound quality, a totally flexible console configuration, and a competitive price tag. It adds up to a great package for Milan Acustica.”
Milan Acustica today is one of Spain's leading sound companies, supporting international and local tours, as well as a wide range of events via a specialist Events team. The company also has a well-established business servicing the local theatre market, and is the principal reference for local and foreign musical productions. Special concerts, festivals, events, conventions, and fashion shows all feature regularly on Milan Acustica's giglist, as do the Spanish legs of European and world tours for artists such as Lenny Kravitz, Paloma San Basilio, Carlos Baute, and Xutos E Pontapés. Current musicals include the Spanish tour of We will Rock You, productions of Cats for Madrid and Moscow, Cabaret, and Dancing in the Rain. In addition, sister company Milan Miscelanea handles pro audio sales and installations, and will be providing local distribution for Cadac in support of its representative Imaginamusica, as well as promoting the Cadac range for its own larger installations and design.
