National Training with Stage Electrics

Stage Electrics Safety Services recently ran a one day course for technical staff at the National Theatre. The Electricity at Work - The Entertainment Environment day, was aimed at in-service technical staff and was attended by chiefs, senior staff and technicians. Presented by Stage Electrics’ Mike Savage and Brian Cleary, this is one of a growing portfolio of courses developed by the company.

A National Theatre spokesperson said: "We were looking for a course to give staff at all levels an equal grounding in the basics of electrical work. The course was perfectly pitched and will lead to improved safety across our many disciplines."

Brian Cleary, safety services business development manager, said: "It was a great day and we were pleased with the reception from this experienced group. We've spent a long time testing our course contents on internal and external customers and it's very gratifying to receive such positive feedback from such a high profile customer."

2005 sees the launch of a series of Stage Electrics courses throughout the UK, many hosted in theatre venues.
