Showsec Secure British Rock Acts

Showsec provided crowd management services for both Muse and Morrisey’s sell out gigs at Earls Court in December, with fans numbering up to 17,600 per night.

Showsec provided nearly 300 staff at the venue for each of the three nights, covering the entire front of house areas including seats, entrances and all external points around the venue. These gigs come in the wake of Showsec securing a 2½ year contract to provide the security services for Earls Court and all of its visiting exhibitions, concerts and events.

Ever since their self-titled debut EP on Dangerous Records in 1997, Muse has won rave reviews. This run of gigs was no exception, with their sets packed to the brim with frantically melodic screaming rock classics. The band played to huge arena audiences in Earls Court over two nights in December. Morrissey’s sell out gig also came to great audience acclaim. Voted the greatest pop star of all time in a 2002 NME Readers Poll, Morrissey played a great set including tracks from his 2004 album, You Are the Quarry.

Steve Reynolds, London area manager for Showsec, and project manager at these concerts commented: “We have an excellent team at Earls Court and a great partnership with the venue management which makes it easier to ensure that everything runs smoothly. We had great atmosphere all weekend.”
