Bright, Wide and Razor Sharp
Widescreen and multi-screen presentation specialists Joy’s has recently added four of Digital Projection’s Lightning 35HD projectors to their rental fleet. The Lightning 35HD delivers 18,000 center lumens (16,000 ANSI lumens) and 1600:1 full-field contrast through Texas Instruments’ 2K Dark Chip II DMD’s.
Lightning 35HDs have a native resolution of 2048 x 1080 pixels and offer exceptional picture quality for both High-Definition playback and Widescreen events. “For many widescreen events a single 35HD projector is a great alternative to a multi-projector set-up,” says Peter Joy, managing director of Joy’s. “ One 35HD projector gives a greater resolution than two standard XGA projectors, and this is achieved without any multi projector edge blending or image alignment, essential when install schedules are tight.”
35HDs are widely regarded as the most precise imaging tool available in the staging and rental market and in the US have been used exclusively on major shows such as the Academy Awards, Grammy Awards and Emmy Awards. Joy’s are one of the first companies to offer this technology to the UK market.
