LSC Lighting Celebrate 25th Birthday

PLASA 2005 coincided with LSC Lighting’s 25th birthday and it was with great pride that this momentous occasion was celebrated on Stand H11. In true Aussie style, Gary Pritchard and Ian Pope invited visitors to join them for a drink around the BBQ in their 'backyard' on the stand. Souvenirs of Vegemite and Koala Bear key chains were handed out to those willing to embrace other Aussie icons other than LSC products.
Guest of honour was The Honourable Richard Alston, High Commissioner to The United Kingdom, who joined the well-wishers for a slice of birthday cake and a glass of good, old Aussie wine.
Whilst this Australian-themed stand attracted many who wished to congratulate the guys it also attracted unwanted attention from English cricket fans only too happy t “It meant even more people on the stand and once there, they couldn’t help but look at our latest innovations,” said Richie, looking on the bright side after a couple of glasses of wine. “PLASA this year was absolutely unbelievable. There was a dramatic increase in the level of interest in LSC Lighting and our products. This was highlighted by the fact that we still had people trying to schedule meetings with us at 4.30pm on the closing day. Finally after 25 years in the industry people are just starting to discover the quality and features of the LSC products."
The past 12 months have been very busy at LSC. The expanded R&D team have been working flat out and the result is no less than five brand new products released at PLASA 2005. Of special interest was the updated maXim lighting console and the new e24 touring dimmer, now fitted with LSCnet technology. In addition, the Xtc controller, which is now shipping, was on show - as nominated for the PLASA 2005 Innovation Award - along with the new ePlate remote control wall stations for the highly successful EKO range of dimmers.
