Media Warehouse Adds Cohedra Compact to HK Stock
Media Warehouse, one of southern Germany’s largest PA rental companies, has added a Cohedra Compact rig to its already extensive inventory of HK Audio products.
The PA rental company has increasingly come to rely upon the Cohedra Coherent Dynamic Response Array system, predominantly for the world-renowned Carmina Burana Monumental Opera Tours of 2003 and 2004, handled by Klangschmiede Events, Brands & Engineering GmbH, Media Warehouse’s partner production company. The company has decided to expand its rental stock with 32 Cohedra Compact CDR 108 C mid/high units and eight CDR 210 C Sub units earlier this summer and has recently added another 16 mid/high units and eight subs to meet the demands of its customers. The system made its debut at a corporate 60th birthday party of German company Wurth, which took place over a week and featured performances from Jose Carreras plus an appearance by the president of Germany. It has since been used at many corporate events and traditional German folk music concerts, one of them taking place in Germany’s largest indoor venue, the Cologne Arena. Current productions include the ‘Ganimée on Water’ events on a cruise ship on the Rhine River as well as a tour for Kastelruther Spatzen, the most successful traditional folk music band in the German speaking countries.
"Cohedra Compact gives us a huge amount of flexibility since the system is perfectly suitable for small events due to its compact dimensions, but also offers good opportunities to scale up if sufficient cabinets are used,” says Michael Frank, co-owner of Media Warehouse and Klangschmiede. “The sound characteristics and enormous power capability in relation to its size fully convinced us, as well as its wide radiation angle of 100°. However, for us the most important criteria is the company and the employees behind the HK Audio brand. We feel confident that they will provide us with any support we require, and that we have a great future ahead with them as our partner."
