Christie in Walsall
Christie has announced that its S+16K 3-chip Roadsters have been deployed by Walsall Council as part of its famous Illuminations in the town’s Arboretum to create a breathtaking series of “animal” animations across a small lake and onto the trees.
The spectacular graphics source for the Animal Magic theme was Birmingham based video artist Jonathan Lee, who brought a new style of presentation for this year’s event with a mixture of original content and some acquired from the BBC.
AV Consultant and freelance projectionist Bruno Edwards specified the Roadsters, which have been purchased by the Council from Christie’s Channel Partner PSL, for their high power DLP devices and their long-range capabilities. Designed from the ground up for arduous rental staging applications, the Roadster’s auto set up and superb output made them perfect for this challenging application.
