Gigi D’Alessio’s Homecoming in Naples with Adamson

Gigi D’Alessio made a triumphant return to his native Naples for the final Italian stop on his 2005 World Tour. He was promoting his new album ‘Quanti Amori’.
The event was held at the magnificent Square of Plebiscite. Returning after a long absence to the same place where over 200,000 people were wooed five years prior, the promise was a bigger, more personal show with more surprise guests. With record attendance, it was a terrific sight, as the historic Plebiscite Piazza made a beautiful backdrop to the stage. Sixteen television cameras captured the event for an upcoming DVD that will be released later this year.
Live system from Vasto, Italy was the technical producer for the entire Italian tour. Adamson speakers were utilised in Naples as well as for all the Italian dates on the tour. For this show, arrays of four Y18’s, 12 Y10’s and five Y10 Subs were flown left and right of stage 50m apart so as to not conceal the beautiful backdrop. A centre fill of four Y10’s and four Y10 subs were added to make up for the wide set-up of the main array.
