Mitsubishi’s Latest Displays Make European Debut

Eyes will be firmly focused on the latest offerings from Mitsubishi on display at SIMO 2005, Madrid, from the 15th - 20th November. Amongst a host of new display products on show will be the first European appearances of the MDT321S WXGA LCD display, and Mitsubishi’s latest LED screen, the Diamond Vision AVL-IDT6.

MDT321S 32” is the latest addition to Mitsubishi’s MDT range of HD-compatible LCD panels. Designed especially for public display, retail and control room applications, the MDT family now consists of three products ranging from 32” to 46”, all offering native 1366 x 768 (WXGA) resolution and Mitsubishi’s Natural Colour Matrix for superb clarity and colour rendition.

The Diamond Vision AVL-IDT6 is Mitsubishi’s first LED screen to be based on 3-in-1 surface mount LED’s. Its 6mm physical pitch delivers excellent clarity over a 160° viewing angle, and from as little as 2m distance. Combined with Mitsubishi’s unique colour space conversion technology, this makes AVL-IDT6 ideal for demanding indoor applications as either a modular rental system or as fixed installation. Weighing just 27kg per panel, the rental system is easy to install and transport.

New DLP cubes on show will include the recently arrived VS-50PH and VS-67PH cubes. At 50” and 67” respectively, both offer true SXGA+ resolution (1400 x 1050) and fantastic performance thanks to their use of the latest 0.95” Darkchip DLP technology. Ultra short, distortion-free optics and compact footprint makes these displays ideal for command and control applications. Digital Colour Space Control, dynamic brightness adjustment and Natural Colour Matrix ensure superior colour reproduction and consistent, high-quality performance in multi-screen installations. SmartLamp and SmartColourwheel features, together with the exclusive lamp changer, help to ensure robust and reliable performance in 24/7 monitoring applications.

Projection products featured include the latest HC3000 Home Cinema projector. Native 1280 x 768 (WXGA) resolution combined with 1000 ANSI-Lumen output, 4000:1 contrast and an ultra-quiet fan, has helped establish HC3000 at the top-end of the Home Cinema sector. Based on Texas Instruments’ Darkchip DLP technology, HC3000 can display 720p HDTV, EDTV, SDTV and data.
