biamp - Wideband Telephone and Video Conferencing Systems
Using biamp’s AudiaFlex-DSP Platform together with the new AEC2W wideband echo cancellation card, beyerdynamic offer the new biamp Wideband 8 and Wideband 4 Processors.
Offering the latest in DSP technology, the Wideband 8 is a unique DSP tool used in telephone and video conferencing to cancel the acoustic echo that is experienced in full duplex audio conferencing. When linked to the wideband inputs on a video conferencing codec, full frequency bandwidth audio can easily be processed, avoiding the far end echo that often plagues boardroom and distance learning conferencing. It offers 8 independent channels of echo cancelling, to reproduce voice and music over distance conferencing.
There are 4 further mic or line inputs are included in the mainframe to facilitate local source reproduction to one or more of the 10 mic or line level outputs or telephone interfaces. With all the inherent features of the proven Audia Flex software, including feedback suppression, EQ, delay, limited, 48x48 automatic mixing or matrixing, compression, multiroom combiners and tone generation. This platform can be fully expanded through the addition of a small cobra net card offering audio distribution over standard CAT5 cable.
Using the same infrastructure as Wideband 8 the Wideband 4 is the cost effective alternative when fewer microphones are being used. The frame supports 4 echo cancelled microphone inputs linking together with a further 4 mic/line inputs, 8 mic/line outputs and two telephone hybrids built in. This unit has the same DSP functionality and processing power as the Wideband 8, and can be linked using cobra net to increase input and output counts if required.
