Le Mark Highly Commended by DTI

Le Mark has been presented with a ‘Highly Commended’ Certificate of Achievement by UK Trade and Investment (East of England) a division of the Department of Trade and Industry. This award is solely for export achievements following their work with the Governments ‘Passport to Export Program’.
“What makes this particular achievement so special is that you cannot ‘self-nominate’ yourself for consideration,” explains Le mark’s Stuart Gibbons. “Every ‘passport to export’ Company is individually monitored by a Business Link Senior International Trade Manager. In our case it was Paul Sharpe.”
To put the award into context, the East of England UK T&I region includes Norfolk, Suffolk, Hertfordshire, Essex and Cambridgeshire – and 650 exporting companies were eligible in total. “From that initial figure, we were then short listed into a final 10,” explains Stuart. “A further selection was then made to agree the three Cambridgeshire award winners – and we were one of those! One was the outright winner and two ‘highly commended’ awards were presented. Le Mark were honoured with one of those.
“We are all extremely pleased to have achieved this particular award. Cambridgeshire as a County is incredibly rich in ‘high tech’ industries, so for us to be even considered we believe is a great achievement for Le Mark. We feel we did not ‘win’ this award; we ‘earned it’ though the contstant effort of all our team. From finding customers, working with them, building the relationship, opening the account, processing the order, producing the product, packing, shipping and delivering, and of course collecting the money! It’s all apart of true team effort that we are all involved in.
“Our target for 2006 is simple, concluded Stuart Gibbons. “We want to continue growing and offering an even better product range with customer service and next year, be the ‘outright’ winner!”
