LM Lasers for Noise and Confusion 2005 and Chemical Brothers

Noise and Confusion 2005, held at the Cardiff Millennium Stadium on Saturday 10th December, was the biggest end-of-year music event in the UK, with performances from the Foo Fighters, Razorlight, The Coral, The Subways, Nick Armstrong and The Thieves, Yeti and headlining act Oasis.
LM Productions LLP were contracted by LDP in Canada to supply three 40 watt ND Yag laser systems for the Foo Fighters special performance at the event. These high powered laser systems produce a bright emerald green beam and are perfect for large stadium and outdoor events.
The lasers were used for four songs during the one hour and 15-minute set and were operated live during the performance to hits such as Monkey Wrench and Best of You. The lasers were positioned stage left and right next to the large video screens and one at the back of centre stage projecting over the band towards the audience. The laser show consisted of a range of high impact beams and atmospheric effects and flat scan effects for the slower songs.
Following on from the success of last years Festival tour, the Chemical Brothers took to the road in 2005 to promote their new album. The Push the Button tour travelled across the world to Australia, Asia, Europe, UK and the USA, with shows at various high profile festivals during the summer, including Glastonbury, Creamfields and the V Festival.
LM Productions supplied three DPSS green lasers which were all controlled via DMX through the lighting desk. One laser was fixed under the band’s set and the remaining two positioned either side of the stage - all creating atmospheric beam effects co-ordinated with the music.
The last section of the tour in the UK and Ireland finished this weekend with two dates at the Brixton Academy.
