Protec Embraces Nexo GEO S Tangent-Array System
In Dubai, the largest rental company in the region has taken delivery of its first GEO Series tangent-array system. Production Technology LLC (Protec), which was launched in September 1999, and has since risen to become the leading event production and equipment rental company in the area, is now offering Nexo GEO S as part of its event production services.
The system has been supplied by V.V & Sons Professional, and comprises 16x GEO S805s plus 4x S830 downfill cabinets. 6x CD12 subbass bins complete the system, together with two NX242 TDControllers. The order also includes a monitoring system, with 6x NEXO PS15 full-range cabinets, and 3x PS15 UTD. All power requirements are met by CAMCO, using both Vortex and Tecton models. V.V & Sons has also supplied all flying and ground hardware.
Protec is the largest supplier of sound, lighting, audio-visual, hydraulic and motor control equipment in the region, with an investment of over 35 Million Dirhams in the latest state-of-the-art equipment.
One of their most recent acquisitions was a real coup for the region - the battery powered floats that were used in the opening ceremony of the Athens Olympics, which now have a new home in Dubai.
