SBES Celebrates Thirty Years
At a party held on the evening before this year’s SBES Dave McVittie, organiser of the SBES, cut a birthday cake, toasted the exhibitors and visitors, and thanked them for supporting the SBES for the past thirty years.
Each year the SBES invites exhibitors and contractors who are building up for the SBES, to have a drink and something to eat in the bar. This year the party was more than just an opportunity to meet fellow exhibitors socially, it was also the SBES’ Thirtieth Birthday Party.
Over the following two days the 30th SBES proved as popular as ever with many exhibitors expressing great pleasure at the stature and importance of the visitors to SBES. A few exhibitors claimed to have taken orders on the stand. One exhibitor told us: “He just came on the stand, said I want one of those, and wrote a cheque out there and then!”
The thirty-first SBES will be held in The Pavilion at the NEC, Birmingham on 15/16 November 2006.
